Calogy’s team expansion

We are delighted to officially introduce the new additions to our team! We are exceptionally proud of our team and the dedication, energy, and motivation they have everyday. Let us introduce you to team Calogy :

Mahmood Shirazy

Our co-founder and CEO, Mahmood has been the driving force behind Calogy’s growth. A dedicated personality, after earning his Ph. D from the Université de Sherbrooke in thermofluids, heat pipes and thermal management, Mahmood went on to compete business training at the Universite de Sherbrooke and the Hautes Études Commerciales of Montréal in order to anchor his passion for entrepreneurship and business.

Luc Frechette

Our co-founder and CTO, Luc’s brilliance has a reputation for itself. Graduating at MIT with his Ph.D and a current professor of mechanical engineering at Université de Sherbrooke, Luc lends Calogy Solutions over 20 years of expertise in energy and heat transfer. Overseeing our technology development, Luc works hard to position the company to meet the high impact market needs.

Mehdi Hedhili

With a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Université de Sherbrooke under his belt, Mehdi joined Calogy solutions as our first full-time member in late 2019. With a keen spirit of innovation and a true entrepreneurial spirit, Mehdi has taken lead of our product development projects.

Nicolas Voeltzel

Our design and simulations lead, Nicolas joined our ranks in April 2020, and been a key player in our product design, testing, quality assurance and more. His Ph. D. in the combined fields of fundamental chemistry and mechanical engineering to develop new lubricants for the ball-bearing industry testifies Nicolas’ multidisciplinary nature and creativity.

Samuel Fillion

Also joining our team in April 2020, Samuel’s expertise and experience in manufacturing has made him an indispensable asset to our team. With his degree of mechanical engineering from Laval in 2016, Sam found his manufacturing experience in the automotive industry.  A true leader, we are proud to have Samuel on our team.

Julien Labbé

Julien Labbé is our mechanical engineering intern from the Université de Sherbrooke and he has spent his summer contributing to our projects and making an impact in the future of our company. We have truly enjoyed getting to know and working with Julien and endorse his abilities to think outside of the box, manage projects and be an asset to any team.

Abby McLean

Abby McLean is our business administration intern from Bishop’s University working on building our company a strategic human resource department. As in any start up everyone is required to do a little bit of everything and we have appreciated Abby’s flexible nature and openness to ideas and experiences. Her team spirit and initiative have been welcome talents on our team.

We stand firm in the belief that any organization is only as good as the people behind it. Therefore, we are proud to introduce our incredible team to the public and to give credit where credit is due!
